Hotend and nozzle
Symptoms
- Extruder clicking during printing
- Under-extrusion: thin or missing lines
- Plastic leaks along the thread between the heater block and the nozzle
- Printing suddenly stops with a clog on the model
Brass nozzles wear out with abrasive filaments (carbon fibre, metal-filled, glow-in-the-dark) — sometimes within a few spools. A clogged or worn nozzle gives inconsistent flow.
